I discovered Mike:
Back in High school when Tubular Bells was released. It was played on a rather esoteric little radio program called Room to Move which used to broadcast on 3LO and 2BL AM Radio back in the 70's. The show was hosted by one Chris Winters who was involved in the early days of 2JJ (for you Sydneyites) I was immediately taken with the whole concept of the album and it's essentially English eccentricity. Since then I have collected all of Mike's albums and driven my Family to distraction (don't you play anything else!)
Favourite album:
Variable but probably Tubular Bells 3 (at the moment)
Favourite song:
Once again variable but at the moment I am heavily into "When the nights on fire" (though I have to stretch into Counter tenor territory to sing the along with the climax!)
Favourite instrumental:
Oh this is so hard..........Hmmm ponder probably Mont St Michael. No. Far above the clouds. No The Bell. No.....Strewth I don't know
Other hobbies:
Guitarist and singer, Surfer, and Gym junkie
Date of birth:
Parks and Waterways Manager for a Southern Sydney Local Government area.
On the Amarok list since:
